Interestingly enough, people get a little confused with Noosa & Noosaville when it comes to booking Accommodation In Noosa and that's understandable, but let me explain very simply & briefly the difference for you.
Noosa is where you will find Noosa Main Beach & Hastings Street, you will be in the thick of it all I suppose you could say, with the Noosa National Park also close by. Hastings Street of which runs parallel to Noosa Main Beach, is well known for it’s shopping and designer label stores, a coffee at Aroma’s taking in the sights is also very popular with tourists and locals alike. If you are staying on the Sunshine Coast but not in Noosa itself, you must be sure to spend at least a day there and of course, be certain to bring the swimmers!
Noosaville on the other hand, is situated on the bottom end of the Noosa River close to the ocean. The foreshore is simply stunning and dotted with exercise equipment and soft sandy areas on the waters edge. The Noosa River with it’s 'A' water quality rating delivers the most tranquil relaxed atmosphere, where you can enjoy an abundance of water activities from fishing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, sailing, swimming, hire a boat and so much more, including the very popular sunset cruise aboard the Noosa Ferry.
Like Noosa & Hastings Street, there are many restaurants and bars to enjoy a quiet drink or a superb meal.
I have travelled to many other countries around the world and enjoyed the clear waters of Koh Samui – Thailand, but I can honestly say, that Noosa stands alone with a magnetic attraction that draws tourists back year after year.
If you're looking for a Holiday on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, take my advice and place Noosa high up on your bucket list.
Lets face it, most people either desire a relaxing holiday or have a preference for sight seeing and high activity in general and the beauty is, Noosa & Noosaville cater for both and so incredibly well.
It’s amazing to think that within 20 minutes of leaving Noosa Main Beach and the world renown Hastings Street, the salt air is replaced with the smell of country as you approach areas like Doonan and a little further into the Hinterland, the bustling little townships of Montville & Maleny. Some describe Maleny as stepping back in time and when looking at many of the original buildings you would have to agree that much of its character, beauty and charm has been retained and treasured by its local community.
Day trips from Noosa to the Hinterland or on the opposite end of the scale, a Fraser Island adventure taking in the pristine waters of Lake McKenzie with The Discovery Group, are both very worth while opportunities to explore where you will experience some of the Sunshine Coast’s most popular tourist attractions.
