Sunshine Coast Airport - When flying from most Australian Capital Cities, you will arrive at and depart from Sunshine Coast Airport located at Maroochydore which is approximately 35 minutes drive south of Noosa. Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Tiger Airways all fly into Sunshine Coast Airport and transfers to and from are available. Please see options below.

Brisbane Airport - Is Queensland’s domestic and international gateway, with over 200 flights arriving and departing on a daily basis.

Noosa is situated on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, approximately 162 km north of Brisbane. Driving from Brisbane Airport to Noosa Heads is approximately a 95 minute drive along the Bruce Highway heading in a northern direction.

From the Gold Coast to Noosa is approximately 2.5 hours. You can also travel to Noosa by train, bus or by pre booked transfer from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast Airports. Generally your accommodation provider will gladly assist and arrange these transfers for you at the time you book your accommodation, just simply ask them if they can assist with Transfers

Airport Transfers

Transfer services operate from both Brisbane and Sunshine Coast Airports. A word of warning, don’t just arrive and expect that your transfers can be arranged on the spot, pre booking is a must. You also have the option of Taxi services, however from Brisbane Airport you may find this option quite expensive.

Henry’s Airport Bus Service - Offer a scheduled pre-booked service to Brisbane Airport each day operated by Sun Air. Henry's also run transfers from Sunshine Coast Airport to Noosa. The charge is on a per passenger basis and the transfer is direct to your accommodation. More Info

Private Transfers - Operate a door-to-door service and you can travel in total comfort to your destination. Private Transfers are not a shuttle service and operate from both Brisbane & Sunshine Coast Airports. A few options are listed below.

Noosa Climate - Noosa is famous for its mild climate. It's average annual temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). The water temperature ranges from 19 degrees in winter to 25 degrees in summer - just perfect!!

Safety In The Sun - Take care when you head out into the sun - cover up and protect yourself against harmful UV rays.   

Safety On Our Beaches - Enjoy Noosa's beautiful beaches safely - swim between the flags on patrolled beaches and follow the instructions and advice of the surf lifesavers on duty. The red and yellow flags are used to indicate the safest patrolled swimming area on the beach, so be smart and do not take risks.

Our Holiday Seasons - Our holiday periods (see below) are based around seasons, climate and school holidays. Prices and availability fluctuate accordingly.

  • High Season: December - January and March - April
  • Mid Season: October - December and February - March
  • Low Season: April - September (excluding school holidays)

The Time Zone - Australian Eastern Standard Time GMT plus 10 hours. Daylight saving does not apply in Queensland.

Our Currency - The currency throughout Australia is the Australian dollar. Banks offer Bureau de Change facilities.

The Dress Code - In keeping with the relaxed Noosa lifestyle, smart casual clothing is standard.

Disabled Services - Many public areas, shopping centres, Noosa hotels, apartments, attractions and restaurants provide disabled services and facilities.

Medical Services - Public hospitals are located at Caloundra and Nambour. Private hospitals are located at Caloundra, Buderim, Noosa and Nambour. 24 hour medical centres are located throughout the Sunshine Coast and many hotels and resorts have doctors on call. Voltage - 50cyc AC240v. All 110v appliances require transformers. Most hotels in Noosa will have ACI 110 sockets.
